​Cooper & Smith presents waterscapes by Brooks Anderson. Brooks captures the evocative beauty of the California coast and the Eastern Seaboard. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California State University in Northridge, where he studied with such established artists of the Los Angeles art scene as Saul Bernstein, Watson Cross, Walter Gabrielson, Marvin Hardin, Joyce Treiman, Hans Burkhardt and Ernest Velardi. He also studied in Maine with William Holst, a student of Hans Hofmann. Brooks's work is found in numerous public collections, including the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, and is included in Spirit of Place: Contemporary American Realism in the Landscape Tradition by noted curator John Arthur. He currently resides in northern California.
