Heidi Palmer paints New England landscapes and interiors. Her quiet scenes explore the effects of various kinds of light and provide an opportunity for contemplation. The paintings depict that dream place between the real and the surreal, the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary. They attempt to evoke nostalgia for the past in such a way that an awareness of the present becomes more acute and, with it, ambivalence about the future.
