An avid sailor, JEFFREY SABOL brings to his marine art his in-depth knowledge of and intimate experience with the sea. His paintings transport the viewer from their busy lives to a place of quiet reflection. Their stark realism derives from Jeffrey’s unique interpretation of line and shadow. His work is an exercise in tranquility.
Jeffrey has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the "Maritime Award of Exellence” at the International Marine Art Exhibition at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport. Judges Peter Benchley, Margaret Trombley and Dan Finamore recognized “Crow Brothers, Tilghman Island, Maryland” as an outstanding example of creativity, insight and integrity in Marine Art. Additionally, for his documentation and preservation of maritime heritage, Mr. Sabol has been awarded the "Rudolph J. Schaefer Maritime Heritage Award" at Mystic Seaport as well.
